Ford Expedition Platinum Vs. Chevy Tahoe LTZ
Ford Expedition Platinum Vs. Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ
Car and Driver magazine recently compared the new Ford Expedition Platinum model to the Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ. What they found was that in addition to its recently freshened design, the 2015 Ford Expedition serves up impressive new power and capability. It doesn’t matter if you’re heading out for a night on the town or gearing up to take the whole gang up to the cabin for a weekend get-away. The new Ford Expedition is ready to go!
The Ford Expedition Platinum has large windows and a standard power moon-roof. Car and Driver Magazine noted that the Tahoe’s new design can make occupants feel as if they are sitting in a giant waterless bathtub. He also noted that outward visibility suffers. This just isn’t the case in the Ford Expedition. The Ford Expedition also has the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 standard compared to the Chevy V8 in the Tahoe. This means the Ford Expedition provides more horsepower, more torque and excellent gas mileage. The Ford Expedition also offers higher maximum towing capacity than the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The independent rear suspension in the Ford Expedition provides a more comfortable ride than the Tahoe’s solid rear axle. It also adds to the maximum cargo space and contributes to the greater rear passenger room of the Ford Expedition.
Features also available on the Platinum Ford Expedition that are NOT available on the Tahoe are the voice controlled SYNC with MyFord Touch, Truck Apps that displays towing and off-road information, BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert, Intelligent Access with push button start, voice activated Navigation System with HD Radio and remote start.
