Beach Ford is always excited to share the terrific news coming out of Ford Motor Company. Let us tell you, there’s certainly no shortage of awesomeness! Here are a few things that have recently made the news:
Did you know that U.S. News and World Report named Ford it Best Truck Brand for 2016, based on the F-150 for its technology, fuel and luxury features? This award recognizes the brands whose vehicle perform best on an overall basis within four major categories: Cars, Trucks, SUVs and Luxury. The 2016 F-150 also received the Truck Best Buy Award for the second consecutive year from Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com. This award is based on expert vehicle evaluation and testing, along with an analysis of other data, including vehicle pricing, 5-year cost-to-own data, consumer reviews and sales information.
The 2016 F-150 was also named the 2016 Green Truck of the Year by Green Car Journal. F-150 has the highest EPA-estimated highway fuel economy rating of any full-size gasoline pickup on the market. It also offers a class-exclusive CNG/Propane Gaseous Engine Prep Package and uses sustainable materials to help reduce its environmental footprint. Isn’t this some terrific news?
Did you know that the Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang was named the 2016 Road & Track Performance car of the year? The Shelby GT350R beat out seven of the world’s best new sports cars in a competition that evaluated the vehicles on both the road and on the track.
Have you heard that the all-new 2016 Ford Focus RS with an output 2.3L EcoBoost engine delivers 350 horsepower at 6,000 rmp? This far exceeds the original estimates of 315 horsepower! The exclusive Focus RS turbo makes peak boost of 232 psi with peak torque certified at 350 lb.-ft at 3,200 rpm.
We can’t forget that the race-ready 2016 Cobra Jet Mustang is now being built in a limited 50-car run for the National Hot Rod Association Stock and Super Stock competition. The Cobra Jet Mustang is made of 75% Mustang GT components and the engine propels the 2016 Cobra Jet to a-second quarter-mile elapsed times. Whew! That’s really fast!
