Escape PHEV

Available as an SE, SEL or Titanium, the front-wheel-drive (FWD) Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) is not only efficient, but powerful too! The 2.5L Atkinson-cycle I-4 gas engine and battery combination delivers impressive EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of 105MPGe and a combined gas/electric range of 520 miles!

Escape PHEV also serves up an estimated electric-only range of 38 miles. That means that many Escape PHEV owners can potentially use their Escape much like a full electric – with the added security of knowing that the drivetrain seamlessly switches to the gasoline engine when needed.

The Escape PHEV battery can be charged at home using:

  • Standard 120V charging cord (Level 1) – charges in approximately 10-11 hours (i.e., overnight)
  • Available 120V/240V Ford Mobile Charger (Level 2) – charges in 3.3 hours
